Kyochon Greenhills Grand Opening & Fun Meet with Lee Min Ho!

However you cook it or whatever your dip is, Filipinos love fried chicken! Maybe as much as we go gaga with Korean culture. It was only a matter of time for Korea's leading chicken restaurant chain captured our hearts too anyway.

KyoChon started the entire Korean fried chicken craze in the land of Morning Calm when it began serving its signature chicken dishes in 1991. Currently they have ~1000 branches in South Korea, US, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and now, three (3) in the Philippines.

Fried chicken is usually loaded with fats and calories. At KyoChon there is no frozen chicken in their kitchen and only cooked it when ordered. The oil is exclusively for deep-frying and the kitchen staff also stick to the standard recipe on manual at clean kitchens.

"Double-frying and piece-by-piece sauce-coating are time-consuming, but these are necessary processes for our hearty nutritious chicken," says Chanky Tiangco, Marketing Manager of KyoChon Philippines. "This distinguishes us from other fast-food restaurants. Because we value quality ingredients and customers' health, we only serve honest, healthy chicken and use all natural ingredients."

The KyoChon chicken comes in four (4) variant series. Brand ambassador and KyoChon's biggest fan Lee Min Ho, who was present during the Philippine Grand Launch and Fun Meet, shared he likes to eat spicy (Red series) chicken when stressed out but his absolute favorite is the Honey series. He also encourages everyone to try their Soonsal series. There is also an Original or KyoChon series for that light and salty taste.
