Hong Kong Cantonese Cuisine at Choi Garden, SM Megamall Atrium

Almost everyday we'd walk towards Megamall, taking the footbridge to cross. It became a habit of mine to look at this unfamiliar restaurant on the second level of their atrium while deciding what to eat for dinner. Recently I had the opportunity to get to acquainted with this establishment and its offerings.

Taking a break from my hospital duties with Nanay, I headed over to SM Megamall Atrium to have late lunch with my fellow food and lifestyle bloggers.

The humble beginnings of Choi Garden started with the unwavering passion of Mr. Choi Tak Pui, a Hong Kong based culinary expert, who yearned to bring the taste of authentic Cantonese cuisine into the Philippines.

He has established his first restaurant and main branch of Choi Garden in Annapolis, Greenhills. The second branch in Megamall employs a casual dining concept to indulge a bigger audience with the same quality and exquisite taste.

The Cantonese culinary team behind Choi Garden is composed of Hong Kong chefs who possess numerous years of knowledge, skills and experience in perfecting their crafts. Their team is proud to offer their finest dishes that will surely bring delight to your taste buds and satisfaction to your stomachs with the use of imported ingredients from Hong Kong to maintain the quality and taste.

Okay, let's talk about the food!

I'm sure both kids and kids at heart will be delighted to know that you can make your own Shabu Shabu Noodle Bowl, which is one of their best sellers and most sulit offering at P388.

Choose a noodle, your soup base (you can ask them to adjust the spiciness level) plus three (3) toppings, which comes with a Soy Egg. I hope you're not too hungry as there will be waiting time.

There's a lot of combinations to choose from but since this was my first time at Choi Garden, I asked for their recommended toppings.  I ended up with Hong Kong Bihon with Double Boiled Pork Bone topped with HK Curry Fish Ball, Beef Brisket Tendon and Asado.

The soup base was served hot enough that you can start digging in and not burn your tongue in the process. The toppings were tasty and juicy, not to mention the beef brisket tendon and asado were tender. In case you only want just one meat in your bowl, me and Sir Ted asked for a piece of the HK Beef Ball to taste and we also recommend that one.

I thought I won't be able to finish all that (this can pass off for two people) 'cause I need to have space for Choi Garden's Best Asado Bun and home blend iced tea that comes with every order of their Shabu Shabu Noodle Bowl! Oh di ba, sulit? ;)

Choi Garden at SM Megamall aims to be a place where customers get to feel and taste the authentic Cantonese cuisine at an affordable price. Their serving size is good for sharing, except the Best Asado Buns :p
