Daily Essentials to a Healthy Body
Keeping your body fit is a lifetime commitment and a year-round activity. But it doesn’t get as much attention as it does during the summer months, when our bodies are displayed in full glory – showing how much we have cared for, or neglected, the daily essentials to keep fit and healthy.
Barley, super food with amazing nutritional value
One of the more evident uses of barley (Hordeum vulgare), which belongs to the grass family that produces an edible whole grain, was for beer production and dates back to circa 3500–3100 BC in Iran, while the Greeks utilized its properties for cereal and porridge preparation.
For ancient Israelites, barley was an important ingredient to make malt and bread, and provided Roman Gladiators (Hordearii or Barley Men) with super strength and stamina for combat. It also served as nutritious feed to domesticated livestock such as horses, cows, pigs, goats, sheep and chicken.

I have always read and heard about the different food spots near UP Diliman, but I can never really find people to go with me nor did I have the drive to go by myself. But we meet a lot of people and I'm happy they're foodies like me! Yey!
