New Christmas Tradition: Jack Daniel's Barrel Tree
One evening, days before Christmas, I saw this tall and unique structure in Fuentes Circle, Eastwood.
A beautifully decorated Christmas tree made out of barrels. Not just any barrel - the very barrel used to mature Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey.
Called the Holiday Barrel Tree, this has eighty-two (82) beer barrels stacked up and stood tall at 30 feet (7 layers). It is the first of its kind in South East Asia. Another barrel tree was lit up at The Fort Plaza, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig a few days after.
A tradition started by Jack Daniels himself in Lynchburg, Tennessee, this symbolizes the unity of a community and their hard work and perseverance.
OPM band Up Dharma Down serenaded the crowd, followed by the lighting of the holiday barrel tree and fireworks presentation. Present were Mr. Gabriel Fajardo, Jack Daniel's Philippines Brand Manager and Mr. Anthony Ramirez, Brown Forman Corporation Philippines Market Manager.
